WTCU-Women's Temperance Christian Union

Adventists Take the Lead at Women's Temperance Christian Union Convention

[Ottawa] In an unprecedented occurrence, all the main speakers were Seventh-day Adventists for the 40th World Convention of Women's Temperance Christian Union (WTCU) held August 18-24, 2016.

Seven Adventists from the USA, Australia, and Papua New Guinea spoke at the convention, including Heather-Dawn Small, Director of General Conference Women's Ministries (GC WM), who made a presentation about enditnow to 142 people present.

Four additional Adventists were elected as world leaders for WTCU.

Established in 1874, WTCU has far fewer members now than in Ellen G. White's day. Read more
