"Sanctuary Prayer" afternoon service draws 70 people from Hong Kong's Adventist congregations.

During the past three years, the in-person activities at our churches in Hong Kong have basically been suspended by the pandemic regulations. Thanks be to God for providing us with the ability to plan a physical convening of church members for the 2023 International Women's Day of Prayer with the theme “Sanctuary Prayer." The afternoon service held Sabbath, March 25, in Hong Kong drew the attendance of 70 brothers and sisters from area churches.

Brothers and sisters experienced the "Sanctuary Prayer" service with humble and prayerful hearts. The content of the day's activities included sanctuary-style prayers, song service, life testimonials, and the message, "Transformed by Prayer." The leaders and participants praise God for leading this event which went smoothly.

"What a blessing it was for brothers and sisters to encourage each other and intercede for one another in prayer," said Nickey Shum, the Women's Ministries director for Chinese Union Mission (CHUM) and organizer. "Prayer is the only way for us to maintain a close relationship with God. We ask God to hear and answer our prayers, and He changes us into the image of Jesus. Our relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is life changing. God renews our minds and reshapes us so that we will be ready for His coming."
