West-Central African Division | WAD WM | Omobonike Sessou | April 6, 2023
Churches across the territory observe this special Sabbath with prayer and outreach activities.
Eastern Sahel Union Mission—At least 500 women came together in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire to celebrate International Women's Day of Prayer. Community women and friends were invited for this special prayer program where women prayed for the government, church, and women at large. Fellowship was a key component of the day. The afternoon meeting created awareness for breast cancer and its prevention. Women in attendance presented boxes of donated supplies for the NGO which provides knitted artificial breasts for women with breast cancer.
Western Nigeria Union Conference—Women preached in every church in the conference. They led afternoon events of visiting the elderly and shut-ins, distributing literature, and praying with neighbors.
Southern Ghana Union Conference—Women preached in their churches. They visited hospitals and prayed with the patients in the afternoon.
Cameroon Union Mission—As a service of love for their community, women came together to clean the grounds of their local courthouse the day before.
Central Africa Union Mission—Women earnestly prayed together during church service. They delivered donated items to their local hospital and prayed with patients in the afternoon.
West African Union Mission—Joining hands and voices with young women in churches across the territory, women prayed with deep sincerity.
